This was the 4th record in Spain, and the first inland record for Spain! It was found on Febuary 7th 2010 at Colmenar Viejo rubbish dump, Madrid, and relocaded at the Pinto dump on May 1st - May 15th. It was filmed by Delfin González on May 2nd.

This bird was found by Magnus Robb on Febuary 7th 2014 at Sesimbra harbor. If accepted it will be the first adult American Herring Gull for mainland Portugal.
