This bird was found by a farmer of the cattle in Staatsbosbeheer area Langelo, and he notified the relevant forester Robert Pater. After consult the news on the bird was released around 13:00 and could be seen by about 40 people, most of which from the northern part of the Netherlands.
This was the 45th Little Bustard for the Netherlands, and the first for the province of Drenthe. It was found on Febuary 13th 2014, and it was filmed this day by Steven Wytema.
