Green Heron
Butorides virescens
The famous Green Heron, spends his summers in the Netherlands and winters in Southern France, Berre l'étang.
It was first found Near Amsterdam on April 28th 2006 when it spend the summer, it was the first of The Netherlands. In the summer of 2007 and 2009 it was seen Again in the area.
In France it was the 2nd record when it was found on December 20th 2006, but according to local people it was pressent for a month before. It was seen the following the next two winters.
The bird was filmed by Antony "Forezbirder" in January 2007.
